This is Daryl, he passed away at 7:45PM today due to the serious injury he got from that gun shot in Banawe.
First year high school. He sat in front of me, I was in the second row.
We weren’t really the closest friends when we were in high school, but we’ve made a handful of good memories together back when we were still classmates. The times we used to tease him because of his acne problems, the comedy commercial skit we made wherein he played the fairy god mother ballerina and I was one of the evil step sisters, the times we doodled on each others’ polos when we were fighting, and the times we spent plotting our cheating moments. That bond, although short-lived because I had to transfer, will always be cherished.
Rest in peace now, old friend. I hope you’re doing fine. I was never the sensitive type, but tears were jerking out of my left eye. I became the drama prince we once talked and laughed about after all.
Daryl was my classmate in CKSC for the first 2 years of my high school. We often called him Diego, ang pambansang bading. I fondly remember him always calling me Balyena.
Not a day goes by without us teasing each other.
I fondly remember he played a fairy in a tutu during one of the school contests and that he fell from the stage. It was really funny.
I have nothing but funny memories of Daryl, and I hope it stays that way.
May justice be served.
Rest in peace.

I can’t believe how time flies. We’ve been through a lot and I know all of those things happened to make us stronger.
I may be difficult most of the time, but I am blessed and grateful that you’ve stuck with me for a year.
Hope you’ll still be with me for the next years.
I promise I’ll be better. :)
I promise you you’d always have me, even when everybody else has turned their back on you.
Happy anniversary, Babe! :)
